New Years Day Walk at Hafod

The Aberystwyth Ramblers had a successful New years Day walk in the Hafod Estate. We had 36 people attend for a walk around a combination of several of the waymarked trails. This allowed us to visit the Bedford Memorial, the old Hafod Mansion and of course plenty of waterfalls which were in fine flow.

Mike has added a photo to the galleries page. Thanks to all those who attended we hope to see you on future walks.

Temporary Closure of Footpath in Llanbadarn Fawr

Gwelwch ynghlwm map a hysbyseb ynglŷn a Gorchymyn Rheoli Traffig (h.y. cau llwybr dros dro) ar Lwybr Troed 12/5 Llanbadarn Fawr. Mae’r Gorchymyn hwn wedi bod yn ei le am 6 mis pellach ond nid yw wedi ei orfodi a hynny yn sgil oedi yn ymwneud a gwaith atal llifogydd i’w ymgymerid gan Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru. Mi fydd y llwybr ar agor tan i Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru ddechrau’r gwaith; mae’r gwaith yn debygol y gymerid 6 wythnos i’w gwblhau.

Please see attached a notice and map extending a Traffic Regulation Order (i.e. temporary closure) to Footpath 12/5 in LLanbadarn Fawr. This Order has been in place on this path for 6 months; however it has not been enforced due to a delay in the flood protection works to be undertaken by Natural Resources Wales (NRW). The path will remain open and available until NRW are due to commence the works; the works are likely to take 6 weeks to complete.
